1. I am home on extended lunch break

for like, an hour and a half, and using it to ink. :D

I am feeling a lot better today, even though the issues from last night are unresolved. But more importantly, I wanted to say thanks again to all of you who were so nice and popped in to say hi, offer me cheer-up links (so sweet!) or answer my “how ya doin’”. I really needed it! Factor that on top of that adorable picture Cami did (which is where I got my NEW ICON~) and I’m on the up and up.

I will try to get some new artwork to post, SOON!

  2. You guys are all sweethearts. I appreciate your reassurances and commiseration, I hope you all enjoy your respective time of days and various activities, and remember that you are never boring, nor can you fail if you don’t give up. I.. am gonna go to bed, but I leave you with this low quality clip of high quality content from The Muppets.

If you feel the need, I recommend looking up the entire song, which is The Magic Store. It has my favorite version of Rainbow Connection about midway through.

  3. I need some opinions, please?

As some of you may know, I am redoing my Cocktail Dresses series, intending to have the illustrations used in a 2014 calendar. Here’s the deal:

Time wise, it would be preferable to not do the super detailed background environments, and just opt for the girls and the drink in a complimentary composition (more similar to my Fashion Plates prints), but what I am wondering is if you think that would take a lot away from the presentation. I am legitimately interested in what people think, because I want to know what people would actually buy, and if the detailed backgrounds are as big a selling point as the concept itself, I really can’t afford to bomb out on it.

Thoughts? Any feedback you can give is good feedback, and I thank you in advance!

  4. re: ENTHUSIASM

You all had such great insights, and really made me feel lots better. Thank you!

    This is a lot of replies, so read at your own risk. If you took the time to reply to that post earlier, though, you are in here! Not gonna tag your name, though, sorry! There are too many to come up on the tracker, anyway. Now, TONS OF WORDS;

  5. Thank you, guys!

I feel a lot better about it after reading your replies… as well as less alone, haha. So thank you, really! I’ll try to keep this in mind the next time I’m feeling down about it.

  6. Oh crap. Crap.

Does anyone know anything about how to set up something for raising money? Our family dog is really sick and might be getting put down if we can’t raise some cash. E-mail me, please?? aka.sephiramy@gmail.com

If you know anything? Anything at all? I am trying to research it, myself, but holy crap, I’m really… frazzled, and not even sure where to start. I’ve never done something like this before. I am of course willing to offer commissions for donations and stuff like that, I just… have to figure out how to do it.

This is probably absolutely no help, but I’ve seen people asking for donations via PayPal.  (And the commission thing would likely work.)

This is absolutely a help - PayPal is a great start. Thank you, ALL OF YOU, for your suggestions! I found a site that crowd funds specifically for vet bills, so I am going to try that out, but in the meantime I am going to throw together a quickie post, a PayPal donation thing, and some ways to get sketches from me.

This is very stressful. They apparently need to make the decision tomorrow whether they can go for this surgery or put him down, so I am very freaked out at how quick SOMETHING has to happen. Please pardon my craze!

  7. Okay, I’m really excited about this!

Waaaaay more positive a reception than I was figuring on for the writer community idea. I am adding everyone who personally replied to a contact list so that I can let you know directly once we have something to show, and will also be publicly posting a link once we have actually competed a forum. Those on the contact list will probably be getting linked before it’s finished so you can help me add things, haha. Feedback is always appreciated! And thanks to those of you who replied, and are passing the idea around - please do continue and contact me, if need be.

  8. If I were going to do a stream in the future, which would you rather see?

    • Inking a Muse Mentor page
    • Shading a Muse Mentor page
    • Playing with character designs
    • Bust commission, start to finish

  9. First of all, you guys are nice. Thanks!

    Second of all,

warchiefeny said: How much do those usually go for?

It really largely depends on how big the cake itself is, but the fee to have me hand-draw something starts at $35. Most people prefer doing things in fondant, and I am an old school buttercream person. I do help with some of the fondant figures, though! I’ll have to see if I can dig up any pictures of those.

  10. Wow.

Thank you all so much for the positive response to last night’s post.

I have a comic page and some Easter art for you, later in the week. I am also cracking open my commissions wait list, so I may be a little quiet for the next bit, but really - thank you. You’re lovely!
