1. Some good advice!

Look at all these suggestions! If you are like me and not very good at stress management, maybe they will help you, too:

i pick out some yummy snacks and watch a favorite movie (or a few!) that are sure to make me feel good. i am sorry to hear you are so stressed out and wish you luck in relaxing! :(
Zen meditation isn’t that easy, but the few times I got it right where something else. When you can just totally quiet your mind, you feel like, I dunno, like you’re away or above everything. It’s a dreamy sensation.
one of the weirder things that got me feel less stressed out and relaxed was to sit down and just draw porn. True story.

    PLAY SUPER MARIO WORLD!!!

I always like to listen to Nujabes when I’m stressed, though any kind of music you find soothing can help. His instrumental songs can be very relaxing. “Waltz for Life Will Born” is my favorite of his, though all his songs are great. They’re nice and jazzy. You can find them on Youtube. Also, going out for walks when it’s nice out can be really good for you, even if it’s just around the block or through the park, especially during Autumn. Hope this helps.

Generally what I’ve found to help is to just going with the flow. If you feel stress, anger, sadness, etc… don’t try to resist it but don’t try to latch onto it. If you can feel it out and get it out of your system I find that it opens you up to dealing with it better. Don’t try too hard to make yourself feel better if you have too much negative momentum going on because it’s gonna snowball. Just try to slow down if you can.

When I’ve had a stressful time at work and I finally have a day to myself, I definitely take the time to sleep. Sleep in past 10. It’s good to get some rest. After that, I make my favorite food and settle down on the couch and watch my favorite movie or catch up on a show I haven’t been watching. I’ll run a hot bath and light some candles, put on my favorite music, and just sink in. Drink a TALL glass of chocolate milk. Read some art books (my personal favorites are the ones on art nouveau and watercolor) . These are just some things I do on my day off to get my mind off the stress. :)

To destress: 1) put on comfy clothes 2) crank up some dancing music REALLY loud (I recommend stuff like She’s Got Me Dancing-Tommy Sparks or Show Me Lights-Friendly Fires or Seven Nation Army-Glitch Mob remix) 3) Dance like a crazy person. This is my favorite stress release in the winter when it’s too cold to go jogging. :)

After a big bout of busy work I like to go out by myself—take a walk, ride my bike, somewhere quiet. And I think it’s a great idea to go to your favorite store and buy yourself something! Or go get a massage as reward. Indulgence is key!
I usually take a long walk! or I doodle or paint! Good luck on de stressing @ ^ @

Well, I know that deep breaths, a warm drink, and a nice soak are always good, but I generally am one to more frequently destress by ways of listening to music that really hits me to the core (for a brighter beat, I’d suggest “fun.” or “Queen” and…if you’re looking for darker catharsis music…well…hit me up if that’s the case.), doodling, or reading a good book.

All of these are good suggestions, and even the ones that may not be something that would work for me are, I think, quite liable to help somebody else in my same situation. You’re all awesome for taking a minute or two to give me your advice (all the feedback alone actually made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and kinda helped me take the edge off), and I think I will now try some of it out! <3

    THANK YOU, all!
